KPI. Building No. 35, former canteen, 1907

Building No.35 of KPI is a typologically valuable monument, which is an integral part of the university complex. It was built in 1907 according to the project of Vsevolod Obremskyi, the staff architect of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

The old part of the building, 1900s

The basement floor housed an apartment, a boiler room, two cellars, a dining hall for 198 guests and a lift on the first floor, a kitchen and an apartment on the second floor. Part of the premises was used for conducting scientific and economic meetings, sports classes, meetings of the "Professor's Club". With a student ticket, you could buy inexpensive meals in the cafeteria. On holidays, before the revolution, the beer of the Kyiv Breweries Association was sold in the canteen.

Now the building houses the Institute of Applied System Analysis of KPI, founded in 1997.
